In response to the deepening humanitarian crisis in Rakhine State, this project addresses the urgent needs of over 500,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) facing conflict, displacement, and acute food insecurity. Launched as a 12-month emergency response from March 2025 to March 2026, this initiative is led by a consortium comprising the MHF grant, including PDI-Kintha.

The project operates across the central Rakhine state. Our mission is to stabilize vulnerable communities through multi-sectoral aid, ensuring that both conflict-affected and disaster-hit populations receive the dignity and support they deserve.

Provided urgent Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), health care, and nutrition support to meet the basic needs of conflict and disaster-affected families.

Deliver essential shelter and Non-Food Item (NFI) kits alongside Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services.

Enhance community safety through health education, CFRM, PSEA, and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE), ensuring affected populations are informed, protected, and able to safely access humanitarian assistance.

Ensure that assistance specifically reaches ethnic minorities and earthquake-impacted populations across diverse geographic zones.

Enhanced Coordination & Preparedness: Conducted 7 advocacy/coordination meetings and 20 rapid needs assessments via KIIs and FGDs across targeted villages to strengthen emergency readiness.

Expanded Health Access & Capacity: Delivered essential medical care to 1,145 patients through mobile clinics across 8 project areas, supported by targeted capacity-building training for healthcare staff.

Boosted Health Awareness & Protection: Reached 680 participants (including 320 women) through 34 public health education sessions, and extended CFRM and PSEA awareness to 102 communities to reinforce accountability.

Inclusive Economic Relief: Reduced vulnerability by providing multi-purpose cash assistance to 670 beneficiaries across 5 conflict-affected villages, including targeted support for persons with disabilities (PWD).
